Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health (IINH)
IINH has offered accredited vocational courses in nutrition and health since 2002. They were the first college in Ireland to graduate Nutritional Therapists, and now have over 200 alumni. The four primary tutors have, between them, over 75 years of clinical and teaching experience! In 2005, IINH founded Ireland’s first dedicated Nutritional Therapy Clinic.
My primary audience consists of people who are seeking to improve or maintain their state of health: homemakers, professionals, students, health care experts and anyone struggling with a health issue who is seeking alternatives to conventional health methods.
Through Mercola.com, I aim to create a harmonious community of educated and open-minded individuals who, like me, are determined to change the modern health paradigm. Hence, I work with a well-trained editorial team to ensure that Mercola.com only provides unbiased and groundbreaking content that is evidence-based and free of external influence.
The existing medical establishment is responsible for killing and permanently injuring millions of Americans, but the surging numbers of visitors to Mercola.com since I began the site in 1997 — we are now routinely among the top 10 health sites on the internet — convinces me that you, too, are fed up with their deception. You want practical health solutions without the hype, and that’s what I offer.
The Association of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture UK (ATCM)
The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (ATCM) is one of the main self-regulatory bodies that govern the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the UK.
TCM is a system of medicine that includes acupuncture, herbal medicine and therapeutic massage called Tuina. Members are professionally qualified in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Tuina massage.
At present over 700 professionally qualified TCM practitioners are registered with ATCM. Members adhere to a strict code of ethics and professional conduct. They also have full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
The ATCM is actively engaged in academic study and ongoing research into the clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We have been working closely with the Department of Health and Health Professions’ Council with a view to establishing statutory regulation in the UK for TCM practitioners. ATCM demands high professional standards of all members and plays a crucial role in communication between practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the medical profession.
